The Knoll 4K and 6K multi-channel amplifier boasts advanced engineering, unique features, and tremendous value. Each channel delivers a heart pumping 50 watts RMS with 100-watt peak power. Each 4K and 6K channel is individually and fully protected against low impedance, overheating, overloading, overvoltage, and undervoltage. The 4K and 6K also features individual channel gain adjustments, trigger (external) power on/off, gold input and output connectors and numerous other “installer friendly” items. This amplifier can be turned on and off from an external controller. Channel link allows the installer to link any or all of stereo channels two through four (left and right) without using Y cords or external adapters.
The upgraded circuitry permits a tighter, fuller bass with seriously improved treble or high end. The 4K and 6K are consistently spoken of as being very musical. MVP44a and MVP64a

Four Source, Four and Six Room Controller-Amplifers

The MVP44a and MVP64a features four / six deluxe digital volume controlled stereo amplifiers with individual four source selection. These features have been added to the awesomely reliable MR1250 50 watt per channel amplifier. It heralds a new era in multi-channel, high-quality power amplifiers. The MVP44a and MVP64a are designed to meet the amplifier needs of custom installed multi-zone systems where high quality sound is a specific requirement.
Extras such as an external voltage trigger that can turn source equipment on and off, individual volume, mute, bass, treble and balance controls give the MVP44a and MVP64a exceptional value when installed in homes and large complex systems. Except for the power button all controls are rear mounted. A data port is provided for ganging multiple MVP44a and MVP64a’s and external control of the MVP44a and MVP64a. Output ports are provided for connection to infrared controllers, so infrared signals can be relayed from the keypads to the source equipment.
The MVP44a and MVP64a are normally controlled by the MR60 keypad but it can also be controlled by an infrared receiver and RB8 remote control. The MR60 features all zone control of all off, all zones to source 1, 2, 3 or 4 (then set or reset all room volumes to 33 percent) and all zones volume up or down.
• Four input source selection. Each of the four or six stereo amplifiers are provided with four input source selection. Selection is made on the MR60 keypad(s), RB8 remote control or via an external controller. Rooms can have different source selections.
• Four or Six internal 76 position stereo volume controls. The six volume controls each require a MR60 keypad, RB8 remote control or external controller. The keypads are typically mounted in the room with the speakers and they control amplifier power on/off, volume up/down and mute as well as source selection.
• Cost and size efficiency. The MVP44a and MVP64a consists of a total of eight or twelve power amplifiers in one 3-1/2″ high enclosure (two rack spaces). Each power amplifier channel can deliver 50 watts RMS with peaks of 100 watts. Because of its unique design the MVP44a and MVP64a they deliver exceptional value.
• Automatic protection circuitry. Each MVP44a and MVP64a channel is individually and fully protected against low impedance, overheating, overloading, overvoltage and undervoltage. The protection circuitry automatically restores the amplifier channel as soon as its parameter returns to the safe operating area.
• Individual bass, treble and balance adjustment. Each channel features adjustments on the rear of the MVP44a and MVP64a so installers can preset the room for speaker differences and listener preferences.
• External trigger. The MVP44a and MVP64acan turn on and off source components with its 12vdc trigger output.
• All zone control. The MR60 features all zone control of all off, all zones to source 1, 2, 3 or 4 (then set volume at 1/3) and all zones volume up or down.
• MVP44a and MVP64a includes a quiet internal fan to increase its long-term power output capability.
• Infrared controller port. System commands generated from the MR60 keypads can automatically turn on and off source components as well as a limited number of functions such as play, skip, etc.
• Optional rack mount kit. Occupies two rack spaces.

MR60 keypads and RB8 remote control the MVP44a or MVP64a.
Each of the four or six stereo amplifiers in the MVP44a and MVP64a can be individually controlled (power on/off, volume up/down, mute and four input source selection) by the MR60. MR60 includes an infrared pass-through as well as complete control by the RB8 remote control. MR60 keypads are available with three different source selection legends (MR60a, MR60b and MR60c) and are available in white, ivory (bone) and almond colors. See the different MR60 keypad layouts.
DC100 Door Chime module. Connect up to three lighted door buttons (front, side and rear). Gives five different selectable chimes and overrides sound even if MVP64a in standby. Includes power supply.
MR171 Microphone paging module. Balanced microphone XLR input. Switchable phantom power. Uses contact closure or automatic sound detection for activation. Adjustable gain and activation sensitivity. Includes power supply.
MR173 Three zone infrared receiver converter. Converts Knöll RB8 remote control commands in three different zones from an infrared receiver (no keypad required) to useable commands on the MVP64a without MR60 keypads. Infrared pass through is also active. Powered by the MVP64a.
RK1250 Rack mount kit for standard 19″ rack. Occupies two rack spaces. It is strongly recommend blank spaces above and below for maximum power output.
590-10 Xantech infrared sequencer. Converts the four or six output pulses from the MVP44a or MVP64a to useable infrared sequences. Turns on and off source equipment via IR and has four installer set function IR commands (CD play, tuner seek, etc.). Requires software program.
